The acquisition of the Cello has been quite fortuitous. It literally saved my bacon yesterday as my other Cello fell over in its case and the bridge broke. We were playing The Dream of Gerontius by Elgar and I was playing the 3rd Cello Solo part. I must testify that I find the instrument very easy to play and I received numerous comments from different sources as to how nice the sound was. I have changed all four strings to Permanent, it improved the sound of the Cello immensely. I am very impressed with the sound and I think I prefer it to my old Cello.
